Vintage Beauties spread joy at the Forum Mall

Bangalore, 15th December 2013: Forum Mall, Koramangala in association with the Karnataka Vintage Classic Car Club (KVCCC) and Bangalore Classic Scooter Club presented the ‘Joy Ride’ – a vintage & classic car and scooter rally on Sunday the 15th of December. This event was hosted by Forum Mall to spread happiness to orphan children from the Srinidhi Charitable and Educational Trust. The children from the Trust got to participate in the Vintage Car Rally by enjoying a ride in the classic beauties.

The much awaited rally was flagged off by Ashish Kumar Ballal, former Indian goalkeeper of Field Hockey who represented India in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, at 11.30 am on Sunday at the Forum Mall, Koramangala and wound its way towards 100 feet road, Indiranagar and back to Forum Mall. Plymouth, Adler, Buick, Ford, Austin, Morris and Mercedes were among the 30-odd classic beauties that were brought by the KVCCC to be a part of the ‘Joy Ride’. The oldest being an Austin 1927 model. Adding to the charm of the vintage rally the Bangalore Classic Scooter Club rode in with Vespas, Lambretta and Lamby’s making the event a truly trailblazer affair.

Mr Raghunandhan, CEO of Prestige Retail, commented, ‘We’re happy to have hosted the ‘Joy Ride’, the event was a sheer pleasure to not only the car owners, but to the children as well as the spectators. The rally was also another opportunity for motor enthusiasts to catch up with the vintage beauties that were displayed at the Forum Mall.’

Vintage car rallies have becomes a regular feature in Bangalore and the car owners, spectators and children were thrilled to be a part of it. The event was a success and the ‘Joy Ride’ was not only a visual treat for onlookers but also brought joy and smiles to the orphan children.
