Ognora Design House Celebrates 1st Anniversary - Aindrita Ray and Ramya Barna Walk the Ramp in Designer wear

Bangalore, 6th Oct 2012 : UB City’s City Bar came alive to music, colour, style and all the glitter today , the occasion ; Ognora Design house 1st year Anniversary celebrations.

Ognora Design House that epitomises stylish and chic clothing was started in October 2011 in Bangalore by two talented and highly motivated individuals from varied professional fields, Nayana Jhawar and Prathiksha Hedge. While Nayana is a corporate lawyer based out of Mumbai, Prathiksha is a fashion design student from Los Angeles, but their passion and interest in fashion and style gave birth to Ognora.

The evening saw top models such as Jackie Shetty, Priya Nayak, Nisha, Noyonita, Archana and Nina among others walking the ramp showcasing designs by Prathiksha Hedge, Huemn by Shyma & Pranav, Deepankshi & Reena, and Deepika Arora.

Live Banned, the Bangalore based band added to the razzmatazz of the evening with their unique music.

The jewellery for the show was chosen from a wide collection done by Chaiti and Minal Jangla of Confusion Fashion Accessories (CFA).

Talking at the event, Nayana said “We are very happy to be celebrating our 1st successful year with our customers, guests and well-wishers. Ognora is an attempt to bring designer wear closer to women across age groups at affordable prices. Our sari collection has been greatly appreciated and patronized and we have great expansion plans going forward.”

Talking about the new collection, Prathiksha the co-founder of Ognora said “I created a special anniversary collection called IMPASSIONED, which is inspired by bold neon colors and the same can be seen in the new styles and cuts of the garments being showcased today. My collection is for the new age women who are go getters at their work space or in their private lives. My outfits aim to give them an edgy and smart look on all occasions.”

Aindrita Ray, popular Sandalwood actress was the show stopper of the fashion show. Talking about the event she said “It is a pleasure to be part of Ognora’s 1st Year celebrations. A store such as Ognora is a true answer to ladies who want to wear designer collections that are available at such amazing prices. I wish them all the success in their future endeavors”.

Some of the guests present at the event were famous Sandalwood actor Puneet Rajkumar, Priyanka Upendra, Ramya Bharna, Tina Ponappa and Wanitha Ashok.

Recently the store launched a wide and unique range of designer jewellery from Confusion Fashion Accessories (CFA) that were worn by the models walking the ramp today. Neckpieces, earrings and bracelets in beads, imported mother of pearl, semi-precious stones, and Swarovski crystals are all interwoven together to lure customers complete their look while choosing the designer wear and accessories at Ognora.
