Whitefield Art Collective 2017 at VR Bengaluru

Whitefield Art Collective by VR Bengaluru is back in 2017 with new art collections, insights, and experiences, to stimulate your senses. This year’s theme is ‘Connecting Communities’, featuring fine art, installations, a competition, an art bazaar, an art movie screening, a VR auto project, TED talk, and more. 

Our featured artists are some of the most distinguished achievers in their field. They come from across India, in keeping with our theme of ‘Connecting Communities’. This is also why we have included a student’s art competition as a part of our activities this year. After all, art should be accessible to all.

The itinerary is as follows:

• Friday 24th February: Launch Event – A Tribute to Yusuf Arakal: Unveiling of VR Auto Car project by George Martin & VR two-wheeler project by Murali Cheeroth. Opening act by Groove Tantriks

• 24th February – 24th March: Bengaluru’s Best Exhibition of Fine Art & Installations by Indian Artists from Different States

• Sunday 26th February: The Search for The Next Generation of Talent Begins with The Student’s Art Competition at The Skydeck

• Saturday 4th March: Indian Contemporary Artist, Shilo Shiv Suleman, Talks About Her Creative Process in A TedX Session at The Skydeck 

• 4th & 5th March: Curated Art Goes on Sale at The Open Display Pop-up Art Bazaar in The Atrium 

• Saturday 11th March: National Award Winning Art Film ‘Gali Beeja’ is Screened at the Skydeck 

• 18th & 19th March: Basement Art Project Goes Live with Top Art Schools Showcasing Their Work

• Friday 24th March: The Whitefield Art Collective Takes a Bow at the Closing Ceremony
