Salon with Shree is back for its third edition at the #WhitefieldLiterarySociety. This month, author Sreemoyee Piu Kundu hosts an esteemed panel of #women community leaders in a conversation where they explore the #feminism of #ageing and how older women are busting #stereotypes about career and relationships. 

About the Panellists

Rubi Chakravarti: Theatre Aficionado, International Stand-Up Comedian & Performing Artist, Actor, Columnist, Writer, Celebrity Blogger, Corporate Nurturer, Activist and a respected gourmand. Internationally validated by #BBC as one of the Top 100 Women to have made a difference in the year 2014 and selected by Salt magazine as among the 100 of the greatest female change agents of 2015. She is also the first female #standup comic in #India and the first woman in the world to use #humour as a #training aid.

Kathryn Kylee: At 66, Kathryn defies many odds, childless by a conscious choice and after a high powered corporate life, she now engages in women #empowerment and #mentorship programmes. 

Jackie Pinto: Married at 20 after graduating from St Joseph's College of Commerce to a coffee planter, Jackie, a #mother to 3 children went on to do her masters in English literature for the sheer love of the language. As a reputed #journalist, she worked with #DeccanHerald and launched and headed Bangalore #Indulge, a luxury lifestyle weekly supplement with #TheNewIndianExpress. Now, she works with a cultural tour company that specialises in showcasing Bangalore's unique culture to visitors, freelancing for different publications including Arre and Silk Road and works with #Berlitz, helping French expats relocate successfully to Bangalore. 

Pratima Marwah: Mother, teacher, traveller, singer, writer, animal lover and feminist, Pratima is an English language expert and communications trainer, who mentors young aspirants to crack competitive exams throughout the country. As a lover of handloom and a trustee of the Vimor Handloom Foundation, she is committed to and has pledged to support the cause of reimagining handlooms for #Karnataka. 

Kalpana Rao: Founder & Ex-CEO of an old Bangalore name, Pari’s, Kalpana pioneered the idea of Indianised maternity and nursing wear. Having closed her 24-year-old business recently, at age 55, she's moved alone to #Mumbai with her signature silver hair to pursue a career in acting. Recently, she was in the #VoteIndia ad with #SRK and will be debuting in #film in an upcoming #Rajnikant starrer. A motivational speaker and a mentor, she's always looking for opportunities to support young talent trying to make their mark in the world.
