Naari Divas @ Phoenix MarketCity, Bangalore - on the eve of woman's day is an endeavor to celebrate the spirit of womanhood by felicitating women achievers from various walks of life - bringing to the forefront, stories of perseverance and determination untold so far! Scintillating live band and dance performances by leading female artists of Indian Idol fame!

Sufi band - Sufistication led by Aabha Hanjura
Western band - The Humming Bird led by Neetusha Cherckal Contemporary and Bollywood dance - Step Rockerz led by Julie Masih

Funds raised from the event will go to Vidyaranya, an NGO that works on rescuing and rehabilitating victims of human trafficking. So, get set to be entertained for the evening with your family and friends, and contribute to a social cause!

Here is a look at the inspiring Women Achievers who will be felicitated at the event:
1. Dr. Aloma Lobo - Set up a voluntary coordinating agency that facilitates adoption, and co-authored the first ‘How-to’ book on Adoption in India.
2. Ms. Sushmita Pawar - A key member of the gold winning Indian women’s Kabaddi team in the Asian Games held at Incheon, South Korea. She captained Karnataka Juniors team and was member of South Zone and Karnataka Seniors teams.
3. Dr. Hella Mundhra - set up Ashok Nursing Home for treating poor patients, and Shishu Mandir, a home for destitute children.
4. Ms. Pavithra Y. S - Founder-Director of Vindhya E-Infomedia, a BPO that employs over 200 people, but 95% of whom are differently-abled.
5. Ms. Bhavna Desai - Left a successful corporate career to start MyLib, a new age online-offline library based in Bangalore.
6. Ms. Sharmada Balu - A promising tennis champion and the highest ranked WTA player among juniors. She has won three successive national women’s titles as a Junior.
7. Ms. Lakshmipradha Srinivasan – battled against physical disability to become a successful doctor and also an MBA degree in Healthcare and Hospital Administration. Music being her passion, she has given a few Carnatic music concerts and wishes to scale high in that field.
8. Ms. M.C. Rajashree – though confined to a wheel-chair, she is an excellent Bharathanatyam Dancer, choreographer, a skilled handicrafts maker and a multi-language teacher.
9. Ms. Vidya Aithal - heads the Sambhav Foundation which caters for the children with special needs as well as learning disability. She has worked with children from all backgrounds, be it slums, tribal, laborers, children with cancer, abused, villages, schools, or any other vulnerable section of the society. She also has been selected by the government as CWC (Child Welfare Committee) member.
10. Ms. Esther Thomas – was shell shocked when the doctor told her that her just born girl child has Down’s Syndrome. She quit her regular job and started the Divya downs development trust to train and develop children with Down’s syndrome. The centre provides Special Education, speech therapy, physiotherapy, early intervention, computer operations practice, and vocational training.
