Forum Value Mall celebrates 65 years of Sovereign India

This Republic Day, Forum Value Mall, Whitefield brings to you a Khadi exhibition at the central atrium which will be conducted by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) from 12 pm to 8 pm. The exhibition will have institutions promoting village industries from rural areas. Ten stalls will be set up and the earnings will be utilized to assist institutions and individuals for the development and operation of Khadi and village industries.

A weaving unit will be on display to demonstrate the fascinating work of the weavers. Shoppers will get to see weavers working with the warp threads and weave. Forum mall will also be hosting a pottery workshop and a face painting artist to make the shoppers’ experience a thrilling one. While kids get their faces painted, the parents can read a brief-up on the history of the charkha which is synonymous with the Indian flag.

A skit titled ‘Struggle to Freedom’ will be performed at different hours during the day.
