ABOUT THALAVATTAM:
Thalavattam is a rhythm rush which breaks human barriers and creates a space where all is nothing. The word Thalavattam (derived from the palindrome language of Malayalam) translates as a circle of rhythm, much like the one created by the drum circle to unify everyone's presence.
It is a percussion project by Montry Manuel, which uses exotic instruments such as the didgeridoo and djembe to create a musical experience that awes and inspires. His instruments are mainly inspired from reused paint cans, soda cans, PVC pipes etc. mimicking the street drummers. The basic ideology is that everyone can be a part of the circle.
