Electric Zoo Goa have teamed up with Tao Terraces, Bangalore, to bring you a sizzling series of Electric Sunday Sundowners, high above bustling Bangalore, listening to the sounds of Goa.

Goa based DJ Raimund Imo, was born and raised in Mannheim, Germany. Between 1984 and 1996 Raimund spent countless nights at underground clubs and parties in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Berlin, Frankfurt and London, listening to sounds from the forefront of the techno scene around the world. Raimund’s love affair with electronic music was born and so began his journey as a DJ.

In 2000, Raimund was in Goa, India. In, the midst of the Goa-Trance scene, he started to play ‘alternative’ techno and tech-house/house music and arranged private parties, as an antidote to the homogenous trance culture. The influence of Raimund and his group Bass Bunny was pivotal in the development and growth of the techno/house scene in Goa and as well as hosting parties, the team were able to bring many of their international, big-name DJ friends to play. The trio went on to organise and perform gigs all over Goa, and began to play gigs in larger Indian cities, as they grew in name and popularity.

After a few years with “Bass Bunny”, Raimund felt the time for change and “Electric Zoo Goa” was born. He has not looked back since. As a co-founder and DJ for Electric Zoo Goa, he and the group have enjoyed tremendous success, gaining a solid fan base in many parts of India & Asia. Over the years they have organised and played at many highly successful parties, including ‘Escape of the Apes’. Raimund Imo has played in Russia, Germany, Spain, Australia, UK, Indonesia, France and India and has also supported and gained respect from many of Europe’s live acts and DJs. These include Mathew Jonson, Wolf & Lamb, Loose Change, Anton Kubikov, Bjoern Wilke, Mike Shannon, dOP, D-Sens, Moog Conspiracy, Kate Moss, Vera, Chloe, A Guy Called Gerald, Mole and Dorian Paic. He is currently collaborating on and producing new tracks, due for release next year.

Electric Zoo Goa is a global mix of DJs, hailing from Germany, Italy, Belgium, France and Russia, to name a few. Electric Zoo Goa’s coalition of DJs was established by Raimund Imo, I.V.O and Shido (a German trio also known as Bass Bunny). Later they were joined by Solar Sux System aka Axailes (Belgium), Shy-o (France) and Sashanti (Russia).

Now Electric Zoo Goa is entering a third era, joined by family and friends and a new generation. Among their musical friends they are proud to include:

Our wizardry at combining contemporary and futuristic sounds requires us to be constantly at the cutting edge of music as it is birthed in the electronic hubs of Europe, Russia and North America.
