Oxford Bookstore Bengaluru and Rupa Publications invite you to the book launch of No. 9 on the Shade Card by Kavitha Mandana on Wednesday, 9th April 2014 at 6:30 p.m. Pramila Aiyappa, two time Olympian Bronze medal winner at the 2010 Asian Games at Guangzhou, China, will launch the book. And share her own experiences as an athlete who has reached the highest levels.

'No 9 on the Shade Card' is a novel of a teen going through a tough year -- dealing with a strange phase her brother is going through; chasing her dreams of sporting glory in the face of stiff family opposition -- primarily from her grandmother, who's worried that her dusky grandchild will get darker; and a lot else.
